Our Commitment to Ingredients and Methods

1. About cold process soap

* Plant oils and skin-friendly components are not destroyed by heat
Cold process soap is made without applying any external heat.
Mass-produced soaps generally use the hot process method, which heats the ingredients to saponify them. While this allows large quantities of uniform soap to be made quickly, the heat destroys delicate natural components. With the cold process method, components are sealed into the soap as they are, so skin-friendly ingredients remain intact.

* Intentionally keeping the saponification rate slightly low
With cold process soap, we can adjust the saponification rate — how much of the oils react with lye to become soap. By intentionally leaving some plant oils unsaponified, those oils help moisturize your skin after washing.

* Moisturizing glycerin, a by-product, stays in the soap
In the cold process method, plant oils react with lye to form sodium fatty acid salts (which is soap). Glycerin is produced as a by-product and is sealed into the soap as well, resulting in a mild soap.

* Finished after one month of curing
Although it cannot be mass-produced, it is a carefully crafted soap that seals in components good for your skin. The oils we use are of the kind found in beauty serums, generously blended into the soap — a soap made only from what your skin truly needs, with no room for anything unnecessary.

2. Oku-Hida spring water in every soap Tannaka Highlands, located north of Hida-Takayama, is designated as a water conservation forest and a prefectural natural park. At an altitude of 1,000 to 1,300 m, pure water springs from a beautiful forest of beech, birch, horse chestnut, and oak — a place almost untouched by people throughout history. Rich in silica and with a very low oxidation-reduction potential (+127 mV), it is known as "water that does not rust."
SAVON ENDASORA uses Oku-Hida Gensui in every soap.

3. Organic herbs, pesticide-free ingredients, and wild plants native to Hida We are particular about every raw material used in Endasora soap.
Lavender grown on a certified organic farm, brown rice amazake made from pesticide-free, naturally grown rice,
unheated, additive-free raw honey from Hida's nature, and yomogi growing wild in Hida's satoyama — we receive the blessings of nature and value the beauty of raw materials.
Because it touches your skin directly, we put skin safety first so that even babies can use it with peace of mind.

4. Scented only with 100% essential oils We never use synthetic fragrances. Our soaps are either fragrance-free or scented only with 100% essential oils.
Even when essential oils are added to soap, much of the scent escapes during the one-month curing period. To keep the scent of precious essential oils, a large amount must be used. It is truly a luxury, but because we want you to experience the aromatherapy effect of genuine plant-derived scents, SAVON ENDASORA soaps are scented with 100% essential oils.

5. Colored with natural clays and plant pigments Every color of SAVON ENDASORA soap comes from nature.
The hues of clay and natural colors extracted from plant pigments such as carotenoids, chlorophyll, and polyphenols. We never use synthetic colors.

6. Free from petroleum-based surfactants, petroleum-based preservatives, synthetic fragrances, synthetic colors, and mineral oil The plant oils used in SAVON ENDASORA soap are refined, cosmetic-grade raw materials suitable for beauty oils. The recipe is simple: plant oils, lye, and spring water as a base, with plant extracts, essential oils, and clays. We believe that a simple recipe that removes everything unnecessary and delivers only what the skin truly needs leads to safety and peace of mind.
